Our Staff
Our staff is a group of highly trained spiritual gurus constantly looking for truth, wisdom, and the straight and narrow. Please read below to find out more about what they're doing, what they did last week, and even follow them on the Twitters.
Pastor William Williams
Senior Pastor
Pastor Williams has been Senior Pastor at Main Street Church for over ten years, when he and his wife, Matilda, formed the church with 30 of their closest friends. Since then, Pastor Williams has helped several people, including his cat, QueeQuay, out of addiction, self-reliance, and food dependency. Pastor Williams is a champion kick-boxer, loves the Super Mountain Nacho Plate at Fiesta Del Sushi, and once owned a bear as a pet.
Father Johanson Jones
Associate Pastor
Father Jones joined Main Street Church in the late 90's after a brief stint in Peru, where he learned how to survive off the land, eating mostly bugs and exotic plants. Father Jones and his wife, Kibbie, run a homeless shelter for dogs in their backyard, which also serves as a petting zoo for the neighborhood children. Father Jones was also the founder of the Punches for Cash program, which funds the church's Men's Breakfast every fifth Saturday.
Father Roger McElmund
Associate Pastor
Father McElmund lives in the church basement. His work in the fields of science and math have earned him many prestigious degrees, but he has a hard time figuring out the workings of things such as trousers and computer mouses. His article in Theology Today about the existential crisis of Moses, Noah, and the Apostle Peter won him several awards. The entire work was written on paper napkins and submitted by fax machine. Father McElmund loves tacos.
Pastor Gus Sanchez
Festive Greetings!
Pastor Gus Sanchez makes tacos for the staff and visitors on Sunday evenings. Apart from being the Chief Taco Engineer, Pastor Gus Sanchez and his wife, Pallalandria, are the creators of the High Five Club, dishing out high fives to everyone who comes to the church. Their role in helping everyone overcome adversity is second to none in the state of Florida, which they haven't been to in many, many years.
